My apologies for my absence. I have been waging a bit of a battle with chronic illness so I have been taking more time for healing and self-care. I am still painting! Just slowly. So I have some paintings that are finished and I will post them one by one. Yay! This first one is from a series I was doing to practice painting portraits. I chose to paint some of the artists and musicians that had a big effect on my life and creative capacity.
Maynard James Keenan is the vocalist from the bands Tool, A Perfect Circle, Puscifer, Tapeworm and more. His vocal style is powerful and dynamic. It inspired me to find my own vocal power and range when I was singing for Gate years ago. I guess this painting is gratitude for that.
