New Ancestor Painting: Embatt'ya

It's been a long while since I have painted an addition to my ancestor series, and I am glad to make a new addition. This group of paintings was initiated almost a decade ago with the intention to express an alternative vision about our collective ancestry. As beings of the cosmos and it's eternal expanse, we are the offspring of it's creative source. What we think we know about who and what we are - we actually know very little. In fact, I would say that our true origin is more incredible and beautiful than we could ever imagine. Our universe is full of life and the story of our becoming will one day be available for those who seek to know. The stars in our night sky are the lights that navigate our future expanse where anything is possible.

These "ancestors', as I call them, are an expression of that never ending creative manifestation that we call our Universe.
