An Unnamed Force of Nature

Updated: Jan 29, 2020

This next oil painting was an inspired portrait. I was aiming to try my hand at glazing colour oil over top of black and white shades. But after she was done her monochromatic stage I loved her so much that way that I haven’t been able to change her by adding any colour.

She is one of my favourites so far. So much so that I have yet to name her- but it will come. This portrait speaks to me and from myself and my heritage on so many levels. Her eyes are steadfast and watching. She can see right through all facades and hidden meanings. She not easily wilted or trampled. She is in touch with her true nature. She hones the elements and speaks with the divine and all its creatures.
